Roblox Teardown Β· Tycoon Β· 2026-07-30
A veteran button-tycoon where you don't so much build a dealership by stepping on green pads as feed five interlocking loops β build β passive income β driving a large map β speccing a car to a customer β delivery β all stacked on a collection of 620 cars and gacha crates. An idle tycoon forced to be active.
This isn't the week's breakout. It's an eight-year-old giant of dealership tycoons that today, July 30, shipped a seasonal [NEW SEASON] update β which is why it ranks first among ten button-tycoon references (match score 97/100); 100 Days At Sea sits beside them as a mandatory adjacent survival-builder benchmark. We dissect not velocity, but the retention machinery of a mature leader.
2.5B visits, 3.7M favorites, 92.9% rating (1.5M π / 115.9K π) β a long-established hit. But live CCU 4,253 now is β7% vs the 7-day average (4,571) and β12.6% over the week; over 28 days the median slid from ~5,900 to ~5,200 (β32%). The game is cooling off a plateau β the season is exactly for that.
Right now Trending in Tycoon #17 (historical best #1), Trending in Simulation #28, Popular Among Premium #11, Most Popular #46, Top Rated #50, Top Playing Now #97, Top Earning #360 β 14 chart placements in all. Global RoTrends rank #412, session in the 89th percentile. Share of all Roblox CCU β 0.0272%.
Claim plot β green pads β modules and platforms β higher-class cars β passive cash β driving/racing β next dealership. The strength is not a single mechanic but the coupling of three scales: the physical growth of the building, the quality of displayed cars and one shared cash balance. Every new car is therefore a collectible, a visible trophy and an income upgrade at the same time.
Foxzie's official Discord showed 188,009 members and 6,794 online; the official YouTube channel had 340 videos and roughly 44.9M channel views. This does not prove current growth, but it helps explain durability: a season reactivates a large accumulated audience, not only incidental Roblox traffic.

The niche is power-law: one survival-builder (100 Days At Sea) and one PvP base (War Tycoon) pull the top, but among pure build tycoons Car Dealership is the ceiling by CCU and by age. What sets it apart from its neighbors isn't build scale but the active loops around it (driving/racing/sales/delivery), which Mega Mansion / Airport / Mall don't have.
IP grey. The store mixes real brands (VOLKSWAGEN, Audi RS7, Pagani Huayra, ABT, KTM X-Bow) and re-skinned ones (Corsaro = Ferrari, Toydo RT68 = Toyota GT86, Nissan "RTR" = GTR, Hanessy Poison = Hennessey Venom, Fion Multiply = Fiat Multipla). It's both a takedown risk and a traffic engine: brand search + nostalgia. Their own collection sub-brand is "Foxzie Ed." Catalog history suggests managed, not eliminated, risk: the game added licensed Zenvo/Pagani content and removed some unlicensed designs. Real marques are therefore a replaceable commercial layer, not a safe foundation for the formula.
An experiential run-through, no conclusions: what you see, what you do, and β above all β how it behaves and feels. Conclusions, economy and the steal list are in Part 2.
The FTUE doesn't ease you into content β it dumps everything at once: dealership choice, season, a free supercar, dailies, tasks. Dense, but non-blocking.
All navigation is a carpet of green chevrons to the next button + labels right in the world. Toggleable. An explicit "TUTORIAL DONE" closes onboarding.

The chassis is classic button-reveal: step on a green slab β money is deducted β an object appears. Dozens of small nodes keep you "pressing one more button."
The reveal order over the first minutes: Floor 1 $3,500 β Platform 1 $1,000 β platform upgrade to 2nd class $2,500, to 3rd $5,000 (only then can you place a car) β Platform 2 $2,500 β walls $300 β $1,400, signs Sign 1β3 $2,000 / $4,000 / $1,800, Sidewall $3,000, Entry Door $3,000, Platform 3 $6,000, carpet/furniture $1,500β$4,000, Garage Door $2,000. Each car on a platform yields passive income: 1 car β $61, 2 β $111, then $173 per cycle. observed
The second loop β get in a car and drive. The map is large and varied (highways, cliffs, ocean, port), the physics pointedly "realistic" against the low-poly tycoon.

The third loop and the most "game-designery" one: a customer NPC arrives with a precise brief, and in the "Dealership Inventory" you pick and configure a car to match it β budget, color, rims, springs, wheels. Not "press a button" but a matching puzzle.

Budget range + body color + rims + springs + wheel type. You have to hit all of them at once without blowing the budget. observed
The tighter you match every parameter and hold the budget, the higher the rating (1β5β ) and the bigger the bonus % on top of base profit (at 5β β +450%). observed
The sale doesn't end at "SOLD": the car you configured has to be physically delivered. You load it onto a flatbed tow truck and drive it across the map β with a separate star rating for delivery quality. This is the second skill phase of the same loop from Β§5.

On top of the loops sits a collection layer: a New Codex of 620 cars in brand collections, plus crates ("kits") with cosmetics and a reveal ceremony.

The fifth layer β deep per-car customization: performance, geometry tuning, cosmetics, sound. A full stat readout that affects income.

A dedicated focus (Elnur's request): how the interface and navigation are built, what reads easily and what chafes.
8 icons: spin wheel, gift (Daily Rewards), settings, $ balance, "+" (buy cash), trade, streak, inventory, star (Star Shop). Dense, but the icons are large and carry "1" badges begging a tap.
New Season, New Codex, Shop, Car (garage), Race β five modes in one column. An orange arrow dynamically points to the next step. Below β a multiplier (1.0x β 1.1x).
Green chevrons + labels on objects + orange arrows on icons. All toggle off with one bottom button. The Race icon lights up with a "1" when players start a race on the map.
The VIP price "displays poorly" in the store itself (visible only in the purchase dialog β 500 R$). Delivery doesn't show distance in meters. The car controls (L/F/H/Space/E) are nowhere spelled out β you learn by trial. observed
Now the conclusions: why it works, the full economy with per-offer verdicts, the developer's decisions, the risks and β what we take home.
The neighbors in the niche (Mega Mansion, Airport, Mall) are pure build "place it β it drips β walk away." Car Dealership takes the same zero-friction button-reveal chassis but bolts on four active activities β driving, racing, speccing to a customer, delivery β that share one map and one currency. Hence a 14.3-minute session (89th percentile) instead of "log in, collect, log out."
Button-reveal + green arrows + everything large = dopamine without a lesson. The starter $265,000 supercar and $100,000 in pocket kill the "I'm a broke newbie" fear.
Build, driving, racing, sales, delivery all feed one $ balance on a shared map. There's always "one more, different" thing to do β against idler burnout.
620 cars with real brands = status + nostalgia + search. "0/9 collections" is permanent incompleteness; the codex never lets you feel "done."
Star ratings for sales and deliveries, speed traps, parking in a zone β all demand presence. That's skill expression the idle neighbors lack.
Building progress materializes in front of the player, while the 15% / 50% / 85% thresholds award cars. Completion is not an abstract bar: it changes the space, unlocks inventory and promises the next dealership at once.
A platform first demands a class upgrade, then a compatible car, and only then produces cash per tick. One object connects construction, collection and economy, making the upgrade feel more meaningful than a generic "+10% income."
The role of [NEW SEASON]. For a leader cooling off a plateau (β32% CCU over 28d), the season + elite pass + dailies + free gift (8h) + free spin is a re-engagement ladder, not growth. We read it as a retention machine, not a breakout formula.
Six currencies, a deep in-game price ladder and an aggressive Robux layer. Below is what was observed on screen / in the voice-over, with a verdict on each offer.
| Currency | Source | Spent on |
|---|---|---|
| Cash $ | build/income, driving, sales, delivery, dailies | buildings, cars, houses, planes |
| Stars β | challenges, bought with R$ | Star Shop: decor, car wraps, upgrade kits |
| Trade Tokens (F) | bought with R$, events | trading, store refresh (100 F) |
| Trophies | season tasks | season progress (250 per task) |
| Driver Reputation | dailies, spins, actions | milestones 500 / 2,500 / 5,000 β rewards |
| Robux ⬑ | real money | everything premium (below) |
| Object | Price $ | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Floor 1 / Platform 1 | 3,500 / 1,000 | first builds |
| Platform upgrade 2nd / 3rd class | 2,500 / 5,000 | gate: you can place a car only at 3rd class |
| Walls 1β6 | 300 β 1,400 | cheap "drip" progress |
| Signs 1β3 / Sidewall / Entry Door | 1,800 β 4,000 | decor nodes |
| Car unlock (Toydo RT68) | 50,000 | at a progress threshold |
| Police Corsaro 884 | 360,000 | 186 mph Β· per-mile $2,661 |
| Buy Cars (range) | ~4,000 β 20,000,000 | Fion Multiply β¦ Hanessy Poison Rebel Speedster $20M |
| Houses / Planes (5) | 100Kβ10M / 5Mβ20M | late sinks; some behind VIP/quests |
Income grows slowly and visibly: $0 β $61 β $111 β $173 per cycle; big events (Challenge Completed +$121,000, a 5β sale $49,568, a 1.71-mile delivery $22,050) spike it. Inflation runs into the millions (cars $20M, planes $20M) β the ceiling is far off, room for grind walls and pack-skips.

| Offer | Price R$ | Gives | Verdict |
|---|---|---|---|
| +25% Cash Boost (permanent) | 9 | +25% income from build & driving | foot in the door: cheap first conversion |
| 2X Cash / Delivery / Race (15m) | 29 / 19 / 19 | Γ2 to the matching income | impulse consumable for an active session |
| Stars 500 | 169 | Star Shop currency (~$4.99) | skips the decor/wrap timer-farm |
| Trade Tokens 1,500 β 42,500 | 150 β 2,500 | +25/50/70% by volume | whale anchor: bonus grows with spend |
| Cash 10R$β$10K β¦ 3,000R$β$25M | 10 β 3,000 | direct purchase of in-game money | wall-skip: pay to bypass the grind |
| Pack offers (VW/Audi/Paganiβ¦) | 149 β 2,998 | branded cars/packs, daily | collection FOMO + daily timer |
| VIP | 500 | exclusive cars, jet, mansion, tycoon colors | whale pass: gates a content class |
| Spinwheel | 79 (Γ10 = 590) | a prize-wheel spin | gacha impulse with a bulk discount |
| Bundle: 7,850 tokens + Kit | 99 | tokens + Dealership Customization Kit | value bundle on a limited timer |
green β entry/conversion Β· amber β impulse/farm-skip Β· red β whale anchor/wall-skip. Pressure is applied gently: paid offers always sit next to free ones (free gift beside pack offers, free spin beside Spinwheel) β the "free / cheaper in bulk" contrast normalizes buying.
| Choice | Why like this | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Gift a $265K supercar + $100K on entry | kill newbie fear, hand "wealth" instantly | zero threshold, instant engagement |
| Gate "platform class β car" | first soft wall, send you back to income | a "build β earn" rhythm, not click-spam |
| 4 active loops on one map/currency | against idle burnout, skill expression | 14.3-min session, a moat vs neighbors |
| Favorite prompt at the reward moment (car unlock) | catch the algo signal at peak emotion | favorites growth (3.7M) β distribution |
| Real brands + "Foxzie Ed." re-skins | brand search, nostalgia, status | traffic and collection pull at IP risk |
| Paid always beside free | normalize buying via contrast | gentle pressure, high 92.9% rating |
| Season + dailies + free gift/spin | re-engage a mature title | a return ladder on a cooling plateau |
| System | Why it works | Product principle | Constraint |
|---|---|---|---|
| Customer matching with 1β5β | turns a sale from a click into a quality problem | budget plus 2β3 car attributes shape rating and profit | criteria must be legible before the choice, not after a mistake |
| One currency across activities | the player can switch activity without losing shared progress | sales, delivery, driving and the dealership feed one balance | no single loop should invalidate the income from the others |
| Dealership 0β100% | the percentage promises closure while every pad gives a visible step | major thresholds unlock cars and the next property | avoid long decorative stretches between meaningful reveals |
| Car on a display platform | a collectible receives an economic function | display value depends on the class of the car placed on it | the income rule should be readable without a hidden calculator |
| Dealership β outside world | internal building and active play create goals for each other | the dealership funds driving; driving and deals accelerate the dealership | returning home should feel like a reward, not inventory unloading |
| Toggleable chevrons | a mass-market player sees the next step without a text wall | guidance lives in the world and disappears on request | arrows should not suppress independent exploration |
| Favorite prompt at the reward peak | the request lands during positive emotion | the first major unlock is a natural ask point | do not repeat the prompt after every reveal |
| Collection index "0/N" | visible incompleteness creates a long horizon | each car has a slot, rarity and expressive reveal | collection scale must not turn most entries into filler |
A retention benchmark for build tycoons. Not through a novel chassis (button-reveal is old), but through the density of loops and activity on top of it plus a collection engine. The weak spot β under-baked gacha juice and the cooling the season treats as a symptom. For us it's a textbook on "how to make an idle tycoon bring the player back."
Total: 9.5 / 12 Β· tier: genre reference benchmark
